How neighbors use golf carts in Firethorne

Dinner at the clubhouse, a ride to the pool, a round of golf, the school bus stop in the morning and visits with neighbors in the evening. That is the Firethorne routine, and a golf cart makes every part of it easier.

We sell and service golf carts for people who drive these streets and paths every day, so we can help you pick a cart that fits your community, your passengers and the way you actually use it.

Golf cart rules and street-legal LSVs in Firethorne

In North Carolina, a golf cart can only go on public streets two ways: as a titled, registered and insured low speed vehicle (LSV) on roads posted 35 mph or less, or under a local golf cart ordinance where the town or county has adopted one (NCDOT model ordinance). Good news: the Village of Marvin has a golf cart ordinance. Golf carts may run only on internal public streets inside approved subdivisions, posted 25 mph or less, at no more than 20 mph, with a licensed driver who carries a license and the required lights and safety equipment. They may not use Bonds Grove Church Rd, Providence Rd (NC 16), Joe Kerr Rd, Marvin Rd, Marvin School Rd, New Town Rd or Waxhaw Marvin Rd (Village of Marvin Code, Ch. 73). Follow the club’s cart rules on the course and your HOA’s rules in the neighborhood. For roads beyond the neighborhood, a registered, insured LSV can use roads posted 35 mph or less.

Our street-legal LSV conversion page walks through the equipment, paperwork and steps in plain English.
